What to expect at your first visit
Get ready for an exciting adventure in the world of orthodontics! From the time you arrive at our office for this 60-90 minute consultation, you will be educated every step of the way. At Panucci and Jackfert Orthodontics, we pride ourselves on communication and education, you will leave our office with a full understanding of the amazing possibilities available in this field of dentistry.
Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
You will be greeted in the reception area and shown how to check in on our touch screen computer and taken on a tour of our facility. Next, digital X-rays and photographs will be taken and digitally imported into our imaging system for viewing during your consultation. Your personalized orthodontic treatment plan will be presented visually on the computer with our Consult Program, thus ensuring your understanding of the Doctor's recommendations.
We have set aside 60-90 minutes for your first visit with no fee for this initial consultation. So that we may continue offering this as a COURTESY visit, please contact the office at least 24 hours in advance should you need to reschedule.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! We will be glad to start your treatment that day if you are ready and excited to proceed. Or, you may elect to schedule a future start date for treatment.
Scheduling appointments
Treatment appointments will be scheduled at regular intervals 10-12 weeks apart for adjustments and generally last 30 to 40 minutes. We schedule longer appointments in the morning and shorter appointments after school. This allows us to accommodate as many patients and families as possible for after-school appointments.
We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately, keeping your scheduled appointments ensures that your treatment advances as it should! We will make every effort to reschedule you in a timely fashion, but please realize that the length of treatment requires your cooperation.... teamwork!
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatments
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups.
